Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 5, 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the self-IAM website, the hosted self-IAM API (the "Service"), and any related documentation and dashboards operated by self-IAM ("we", "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
The Service is a centralized identity and access management platform that provides password verification, one-time passcodes, session management, API key issuance, and a contact-form message API to applications that integrate the self-iam client package. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, or any part of it, at any time with or without notice.
2. Accounts and API Keys
Some features require an account and an organization API key. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and API keys, and for all activity performed with them. API keys are shown once at issuance; treat them as secrets. You must notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized use.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or attempt to bypass its authentication or rate-limiting controls;
- send automated or abusive volumes of requests that degrade the Service for others;
- collect, store, or transmit personal data without a lawful basis or without the consent of the individuals concerned;
- attempt to access another organization's data or accounts.
4. Fair Use and Quotas
API access is subject to rate limits and daily operation quotas as described in the documentation and on the pricing page. Operations are counted per API key per UTC day, including failed requests. We may adjust limits to protect the availability and security of the Service.
5. Your Data
You retain all rights in the data you submit to the Service, including identities, messages, and configuration. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit that data solely to provide and secure the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data.
6. Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with third-party providers, including Google (OAuth sign-in) and WhatsApp (one-time passcode delivery). Your use of those integrations is subject to the respective provider's terms and policies, and we are not responsible for their availability or conduct.
7. Fees and Plans
The Service currently offers a free plan and paid plans as described on the pricing page. Paid plans, if applicable, are billed in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law. We may change fees by providing notice before the change takes effect.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or its users. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 10, 11, and 12) will survive.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CENTRAL-IAM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR DATA USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (I) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE SIX MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (II) USD $100.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless self-IAM and its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Mumbai, India.
